Bandaraya LRT Station
Bandaraya LRT station is an elevated rapid transit station in central Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The station is on the common route shared by the Ampang Line and Sri Petaling Line (originally known as STAR Line). The station was opened on 16 December 1996, as part of the first phase of the STAR system's opening, along with 13 adjoining stations along the Sultan Ismail to Ampang route. The station stands between the eastern banks of the Gombak River and an intersection between Jalan Raja Laut, a major thoroughfare along the Gombak River, and Jalan Isfahan. The station is the southernmost station along the Gombak River. The station is also within close proximity of several shopping complexes, the present Kuala Lumpur City Hall building, the Bank Negara headquarters, and Little India Precinct. Light Rapid Transit
A medium-capacity system (MCS), also known as light rapid transit or light metro, is a rail transport system with a capacity greater than light rail, but less than typical heavy-rail rapid transit. MCS’s trains are usually 1-4 cars, or 1 light rail vehicle (LRV). Most medium-capacity rail systems are automated or use light rail type vehicles. Light rail is considered high capacity as trains use 2-4 LRVs. Since ridership determines the scale of a rapid transit system, statistical modeling allows planners to size the rail system for the needs of the area. When the predicted ridership falls between the service requirements of a light rail and heavy rail or metro system, an MCS project is indicated. Kelana Jaya Line
The LRT Kelana Jaya Line is a medium-capacity light rapid transit (LRT) line and the first fully automated and driverless rail system in the Klang Valley, Malaysia. It forms a part of the Klang Valley Integrated Transit System in and around Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Servicing 37 stations, the line has 46.4 km of grade-separated tracks running mostly on underground and elevated guideways. Coliseum Theatre (Kuala Lumpur)
The Coliseum Theatre is a cinema in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. One of the oldest cinemas in the country, it was built in 1920 by the Chua family led by Chua Cheng Bok. History The Art Deco-style building is capable of seating 900 people and also features a balcony. The famed Coliseum Café and Hotel—a favourite haunt of William Somerset Maugham during his stay in British Malaya—are located behind the theatre, just down the road. The café closed in 2021 after 100 years in business, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Putra Heights LRT Station
Putra Heights is a Klang Valley Rapid Transit station in Putra Heights in the southern Subang Jaya. The station are the southern terminus for the Sri Petaling Line and Kelana Jaya Line. The station is located on the intersection of Persiaran Putra Indah and Persiaran Putra Perdana, next to E6 ELITE. Nearby places include Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru, Laman Putra, Putra Indah and Putra Point Commercial Centre. The station is part of the Prasarana's rail extension for both Kelana Jaya line and Sri Petaling line which joined both lines at this station, after the Masjid Jamek station.
