Bandar Tasik Selatan () (English: South Lake City) is a township in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was established in 1991. Transportation Bandar Tasik Selatan is notable for the coterminous Bandar Tasik Selatan railway station, which is a rail interchange with Intercity, KTM Komuter, LRT and KLIA Transit (airport express) services serving this station. Sungai Besi
Sungai Besi (formerly known as ''Sungei Besi'') (English: Steel River) is a town and suburb within the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. It was also a federal constituency in Kuala Lumpur from 1974 to 1995. Sungai Besi was a historical mining town with many heavy industries such as steelworks, waste steel plants and other steel industries. Sungei Besi Tin Mine site was the largest and deepest open cast alluvial tin mine in the world and in Malaysia. The town has since developed from a large area of village settlements. Background and progress The town is still in its original settings. The village structures are from the early days of the town. Most of the buildings are built from wood and the pathways are narrow. The KTM ETS (commercially known as ETS, short for 'Electric Train Service') is an inter-city rail passenger service operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) using electric multiple-unit (EMU) trains. KTM Komuter
KTM Komuter is a commuter rail system in Malaysia operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM). It was introduced in 1995 to provide local rail services in Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding Klang Valley suburban areas. Services were later expanded to other parts of Malaysia with the introduction of the Northern and Southern sectors. The service uses air-conditioned electric multiple units in 3 and 6 car formations. KTM Komuter contributed RM146.2 million to group revenue in 2017, carrying a total of 37.235 million passengers. The total number of passengers travelling with KTM Komuter in 2017 shows a decrease of 10.2%. This can be attributed to reduced service frequency due to the ongoing Klang Valley Double Tracking (KVDT) rehabilitation project. Sri Petaling Line
The LRT Ampang Line and the LRT Sri Petaling Line are medium-capacity light rapid transit (LRT) lines in the Klang Valley, Malaysia. The combined network comprises 45.1 kilometres of tracks (28.0 miles) with 36 stations and was the first railway in Malaysia to use standard-gauge track and semi-automated trains. It is operated as part of the RapidKL system by Rapid Rail, a subsidiary of Prasarana Malaysia. KLIA Transit
The ERL KLIA Transit is a commuter rail service which serves as an airport rail link to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Malaysia. It runs from KL Sentral, the main railway station of Kuala Lumpur to KLIA as well as its low-cost terminal, klia2. The line is one of the two services on the Express Rail Link (ERL) system, sharing the same tracks as the KLIA Ekspres. KLIA Transit stops at all stations along the line, whereas KLIA Ekspres runs an express, non-stop service between KL Sentral and KLIA and links KLIA with KLIA2. Taman Connaught MRT Station
The Taman Connaught MRT station is an elevated rapid transit station on the MRT Kajang Line, located in Taman Connaught, Bandar Tun Razak constituency in southeastern Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Its exact location is next to the Cheras Sentral shopping mall, which is at Federal Route 1 Jalan Cheras near the northern end of the Cheras-Kajang Expressway, close to the Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur- Selangor border. The station is also near to the Cheras-Kajang Interchange at the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) which is currently under construction. The elevated expressway will be even higher than the MRT track which is pretty high from the road.
