Angelo Giacinto Banchero (1744–1793) was an Italian painter of the Neoclassic period. He was born in Sestri Ponente in Genoese territory. Orphaned at the age of two, his older brother apprenticed him to a local painter. Seeing Angelo's talent, his brother and a Genoese patron, Giovanni Battista Rossi, arranged to have him work in the studio of Pompeo Batoni in Rome. On his return to Genoa, he executed a portrait of the new Duke, Giovanni Battista Cambiaso. Christopher Guerrero Banchero (born January 24, 1989) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player for the Meralco Bolts of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted 5th overall by Alaska in the 2014 PBA draft. High school and college career Banchero was a key player for state 3A champion O'Dea High School, where he averaged 15.1 points for the Fighting Irish, who went 25–5. After his senior year in high school, he committed to play for Seattle Pacific University men's basketball program under coach Ryan Looney. In his junior year at Seattle Pacific, he was named a Division II All-American, after he led the Falcons with a 19.6-point scoring average that was the second-highest figure in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. He also led the team to a GNAC Championship and a spot in the NCAA Division II tournament in 2010, after posting a 13–3 GNAC record to capture its first outright league championship since 2006. Elvio Banchero
Elvio Banchero (; 28 April 1904 – 21 January 1982) was an Italian footballer who played as a striker. He competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics with the Italy national football team, winning a bronze medal. Club career Banchero was born in Alessandria. He played for seven seasons (120 games, 48 goals) in the Italian Serie A for Genova 1893, A.S. Roma, A.S. Bari and U.S. Alessandria Calcio 1912. International career Banchero was a member of the Italy national team which won the bronze medal in the football tournament at the 1928 Summer Olympics. He scored a hat trick (3 goals) in the 11–3 victory against Egypt, that led to the Bronze medal. He also started in the first match of the 1931-32 Central European International Cup silver winning campaign.
