Ban Khrua
Ban Khrua (, ; other spellings include ''Ban Krua'' and ''Baan Krua'') is a historic community neighborhood along Bangkok's Khlong Saen Saep from Saphan Hua Chang to Wat Phrayayang. It includes an area of about 14 rai (about 5.5 acres) on both banks of the canal. It's divided into three parts: ''Ban Khrua Nuea'' (บ้านครัวเหนือ; 'North Ban Khrua'); ''Ban Khrua Tai'' (บ้านครัวใต้; 'South Ban Khrua') in Ratchathewi District; and ''Ban Khrua Tawan Tok'' (บ้านครัวตะวันตก; 'West Ban Khrua') in Pathum Wan District. The main artery is Ban Khrua Nuea in Soi Kasem San 3, Rama I Road, the boundary between Ratchathewi and Pathum Wan Districts. Don Mueang International Airport
Don Mueang International Airport — known as Bangkok International Airport before 2006 — is one of two international airports serving Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, the other being Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). The airport is considered one of the world's oldest international airports and one of Asia's oldest operating airports. It officially opened as a Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) base on 27 March 1914, although it had been in use earlier. Commercial flights began in 1924, making it one of the world's oldest commercial airports. The airport consists of Terminal 1 for international flights and Terminal 2 for domestic flights, which are connected by a unique glass exterior elevated walkway. Sa Pathum Palace
Sa Pathum Palace (, ) is a royal residence in Pathum Wan District, Bangkok, Thailand. It has been a residence of the Thai Royal Family, especially the House of Mahidol, since the 19th century, and is the official residence of Princess Sirindhorn. History King Chulalongkorn intended to give his son, Prince Mahidol Adulyadej, a plot of land on Pathumwan Road for the building of a private residence. As the prince was still a student abroad the plan was not realised until the reign of King Vajiravudh, when land was granted to the prince in 1914. Queen Savang Vadhana the prince's mother moved out of the Grand Palace and built a residence on the land. Under the queen's supervision the palace design and construction was undertaken by the Italian Paolo Remidi. James Harrison Wilson Thompson, an American businessman who helped revitalise the Thai silk industry in the 1950s and 1960s, vanished in Malaysia's Cameron Highlands on March 26, 1967.
