Baltimore Ride
The Baltimore Ride were a United Women's Lacrosse League (UWLX) professional women's field lacrosse team based in Baltimore, Maryland. They played in the UWLX since the 2016 season. In the 2016 season, the four teams in the UWLX played in a barnstorming format, with all four teams playing at a single venue. Franchise History The Baltimore Ride was one of the original four teams of the United Women's Lacrosse League (MLL). UWLX was founded by Digit Murphy and Aronda Kirby in a strategic partnership with STX. On February 23, 2016, Colleen Shearer was named as the first general manager in franchise history. On March 17, 2016, Jen Adams was announced as the Ride's first head coach. The first game in franchise history took place on May 28, 2016 at Goodman Stadium at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Opposing the Long Island Storm, Baltimore lost by a 13–12 mark. Dana Dobbie
Dana Dobbie (born September 30, 1984) is a Canadian women's lacrosse player and coach. Having played with the Maryland Terrapins at the collegiate level, she has also competed with the Canadian national team, winning the silver medal at the 2013 FIL World Cup. In 2016, she was selected by the Baltimore Ride as their first-ever selection in the inaugural United Women's Lacrosse League Draft. She also coaches at Loyola University. Playing career NCAA Having originally competed with Ohio University, she would register 34 goals in her freshman campaign. The following season (2005), she would improve on her total with 37 goals for the Bobcats. As a freshman, she had sprained both of her ankles, and discovered that by the end of the 2005 season, she has actually been playing with torn ligaments. Women's Professional Lacrosse League
The Women's Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) was a women's lacrosse league in the United States. The league was formally composed of five teams: the Brave, Command, Fight, Fire, and Pride. The league announced on February 27, 2020, that it would restructure and downsize the league to four teams, which would ultimately be: the Brave, Command, Fight, and Pride. League play started on Saturday, June 2, 2018. After cancelling the 2020 season in April due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the league announced on August 6, 2020, that it would be closing down, and that some of its athletes would be given opportunities to play with Athletes Unlimited. The new Athletes Unlimited league began play in July 2021. Hampstead is a town in Carroll County in the U.S. state of Maryland. The population was 6,323 at the 2010 census. Glen Mills is an unincorporated community in Concord Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States, located approximately 27 miles west of Philadelphia. The ZIP Code for Glen Mills is 19342. Six Nations (or Six Nations of the Grand River) is demographically the largest First Nations reserve in Canada. As of the end of 2017, it has a total of 27,276 members, 12,848 of whom live on the reserve.
