Balinese Chinese ( Indonesian: ''Orang Tionghoa Bali''; Mandarin: 巴厘島華人; ) are ethnic Chinese people who live on Bali, Indonesia. According to the 2010 Indonesian census, Balinese Chinese numbered around 14,970 or 0.38% of the total population in Bali. History Sugi Lanus, a Balinese humanist and writer once made an analysis of Chinese-breed families in Bali. According to him, Chinese immigration to Bali is in different waves. In the pre-Majapahit era, the currency of the Balinese people was Mong locally known as '' Kepeng'', a currency that is thought to have been originally used by Chinese people. The Indonesia 2010 census was conducted by Statistics Indonesia in May 2010. Result Total population It found the total population of Indonesia to be 237,641,334 people. Compared to the population in the year 2000 of 206,264,595 people, this is an increase of 31,376,831 people (15.37% in 10 years or an average of 1.54% per year). The data counts 236,728,379 Indonesian citizens (both settled and nomadic) as well as 73,217 foreign citizens residing in Indonesia for at least six months, and 839,730 unaccounted for. ''Cryptomeria'' (literally "hidden parts") is a monotypic genus of conifer in the cypress family Cupressaceae. It includes only one species, ''Cryptomeria japonica'' ( syn. Mandarin ( ; zh, s=, t=, p=Guānhuà, l= officials' speech) is the largest branch of the Sinitic languages.
