Bali Ram Bhagat
Bali Ram Bhagat (7 October 1922 – 2 January 2011) was an Indian politician and member of the Indian National Congress (INC). He has served as Member of Parliament (MP) in Lok Sabha representing Arrah from 1952 to 1977 and 1984 to 1989. Bhagat has also served as the 6th Speaker of the Lok Sabha and 13th Foreign Minister of India. Bhagat was born into a wealthYadavfamily in Patna, Bihar in October 1922. He joined the Indian National Congress in 1939 during the Indian independence movement and participated in the Quit India movement. He received a bachelor's degree from Patna College and obtained a master's degree in economics from Patna University. Bali Rai (born 30 November 1971) is an English author of children's and young adult fiction. Early life Rai was born in Leicester in 1971, to Punjabi parents. At the age of eleven, he read '' The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole'' by Sue Townsend, which inspired him to take up writing. He has also cited Roald Dahl as an early influence on his writing. He attended Judgemeadow Community College, moving to Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College for sixth form. In 1991, Rai moved to London to study at Southbank University, graduating with a 2:1 in Politics. He stayed in London for two years after graduating, but was forced to return to Leicester due to personal circumstances. Arun Bali (23 December 1942 – 7 October 2022) was an Indian actor who has worked in numerous films and television series. He played the part of King Porus in the 1991 period drama ''Chanakya'', Kunwar Singh in the Doordarshan soap opera ''Swabhimaan'' and the Chief Minister of undivided Bengal, Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy, in the controversial and critically acclaimed 2000 film ''Hey Ram''. In the 2000s, he became known for his "grandfatherly" roles like that of Harshvardhan Wadhwa in ''Kumkum'' and has even garnered popular awards for the same. In 2001, the prominent writer, actor and director Lekh Tandon counted Bali amongst his favorite actors. Domkat Yah Bali (27 February 1940 – 4 December 2020) was a Nigerian army four-star general, who was Minister of Defence and Chief of Defence Staff from 1984 to 1990, and a member of the Supreme Military Council of 1984–1985, and the Armed Forces Ruling Council of 1985–1990. Hanif Bali (; fa, حنیف بالی ; born 10 April 1987) is a Swedish politician of the Moderate Party and a former board member of the party. He was member of the Riksdag for Stockholm County between 2010 and 2022. He lives in Österåker, Åkersberga, where he is now active in municipal politics.
