Balboa Avenue Transit Center
Balboa Avenue Transit Center is a San Diego Trolley station in San Diego. The station is located along Balboa Avenue between Interstate 5 and Morena Boulevard. Service began on November 21, 2021 after the completion of the Blue Line Mid-Coast Trolley extension project. The City, with input from the Pacific Beach and Clairemont Mesa community planning groups, approved the Balboa Station Area Specific Plan in September 2019. Artwork from the nearby former Home Savings and Loan building could be incorporated into the station. The San Diego Trolley is a light rail system serving San Diego County, California. The trolley's operator, San Diego Trolley, Inc. , is a subsidiary of the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS). The San Diego MTS bus system is a public transport bus service serving San Diego County, California. It is part of the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS). The system operates 97 bus routes in San Diego and the rest of the southern half of the county. There are 85 "MTS Bus" fixed-route services, 9 "Rapid" bus rapid transit routes, and the "MTS Access" paratransit service. Ahmanson Sr. It was best known as the parent of Home Savings of America, once one of the largest savings and loan associations in the United States. Millard Owen Sheets (June 24, 1907 – March 31, 1989) was an American artist, teacher, and architectural designer. He was one of the earliest of the California Scene Painting artists and helped define the art movement. Many of his large-scale building-mounted mosaics from the mid-20th century are still extant in Southern California. His paintings are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum in New York, the Chicago Art Institute, the National Gallery in Washington D.C.; and the Los Angeles County Museum.
