Balang Formation
The Balang formation, is a Cambrian, Cambrian Period geological formation, which outcrops in western Hunan and eastern Guizhou in southern China. It contains Burgess Shale-type preservation, Burgess Shale-type soft-bodied fossils. It is intermediate in age between the Chengjiang biota, Chengjiang and Kaili Formation, Kaili lagerstatten. It contains a low diversity of trilobites. References

Mafry Balang
Mafry Balang (born on 26 March 1984 in Sipitang, Sabah) is a Malaysian footballer who plays for Sabah in Malaysia Premier League. He plays mainly as a centre back, although he can operate occasionally as a defensive midfielder. Mafry spent most of his career with Sabah for five years. Nicknamed 'Iron Man' by Sabahawk fan supporter due to his tough-tackler, Mafry is a versatile player who can play anywhere on defence, including a more defensive minded midfield role. Rubin bin Balang (born 1 March 1963) is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kemabong from February 1994 to May 2018 and again since September 2020. Kampung Padang Balang
Kampung Padang Balang or Padang Balang is the oldest surviving traditional village in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is circumferenced by Gombak Road, Jalan Kampung Bandar Dalam, Duta–Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE), Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 and Gombak River. History The first settler in Padang Balang was Datuk Balang, a Minang Datuk Ampat, who around 1820 to 1830 led a group of Batang Kapas refugee from Minangkabau, fleeing Dutch Invasion. They first landed at Sungai Ujong. Around the late 1820s Datuk Balang and his Batang Kapas followers, as well as a number of Payakumbuh peoples from Negeri Sembilan, move north to Kelang to open a new settlement at the northern Ulu Kelang (Kuala Lumpur), now known as Gombak. Padang Balang became the first settlement in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur opened in 1830.
