Bakshi Abdur Rashid
Bakshi Abdur Rashid (1 January 1923 – August 1977) was an Indian politician who was a member of the 2nd Lok Sabha & 3rd Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Srinagar constituency of Jammu & Kashmir and was a member of the Congress (I) political party. Srinagar (English: , ) is the largest city and the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), Jammu and Kashmir, India. Lok Sabha
The Lok Sabha, constitutionally the House of the People, is the lower house of India's bicameral Parliament, with the upper house being the Rajya Sabha. Members of the Lok Sabha are elected by an adult universal suffrage and a first-past-the-post system to represent their respective constituencies, and they hold their seats for five years or until the body is dissolved by the President on the advice of the council of ministers. Jammu and Kashmir, officially known as the Princely State of Kashmir and Jammu, was a princely state during the Company rule in India from 1757 to 1858 as well as the British Raj in India from 1846 to 1952. The princely state was created after the First Anglo-Sikh War, from the territories that had earlier been in the Sikh Empire.
