Bakken Record
and often shortened to , is a Japanese animation company. The studio's name has a double meaning in Japanese: "Tatsu's child" (Tatsu is a nickname for Tatsuo) and " sea dragon", the inspiration for its seahorse logo. Tatsunoko Production was established in 1962 and is engaged in the planning and production of anime films and television series, as well as character licensing. The company produced many hit anime series from the 1960s through the 1980s, and holds numerous original rights and character copyrights for its original works in Japan and abroad. The company is one of Japan's leading anime studios in terms of the breadth and richness of its content, ranging from hard action heroes to comedies, science fiction, anthropomorphic animals, and domestic dramas. Time Bokan
is a Japanese anime series first aired on Fuji TV from October 4, 1975 to December 25, 1976 throughout Japan every Saturday at 6:30 pm, with a total of 61 thirty-minute episodes. It was produced by Tatsunoko Production, who later produced a number of spin-off programs as part of the "Time Bokan Series". An anime re-imagining titled '' Time Bokan 24'' ran from October 1, 2016 to March 18, 2017. Science Ninja Team Gatchaman
is a Japanese animated media franchise about a five-member superhero ninja team created by Tatsuo Yoshida and produced by Tatsunoko Productions. The original anime series, which debuted in 1972, was eponymously entitled ''Kagaku Ninja-tai Gatchaman'' and is best known in the English-speaking world as the adaptation entitled '' Battle of the Planets'' (1978). The series had additional English adaptations with '' G-Force: Guardians of Space'' (1986) and the 2005 ADV Films uncut release. Tatsunoko also uses the official translation ''Science Commando Gatchaman'' in related products and media.
