Baharna
The Bahārna (, or ), are an ethnoreligious group of Shia Muslim Arabs indigenous to the historical region of Bahrain. They are generally regarded to be the original inhabitants of Eastern Arabia. They inhabited the area even before the arrival of the Banu Utbah in the 18th century which the Bahraini royal family descends from. Most Bahraini citizens are Baharna. Regions with most of the population are in Eastern Arabia (Bahrain, Qatif, al-Ahsa), with significant populations in Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Iraq (Specifically Najaf and Karbala), Khoramshahr, Hormozgan province of Iran. Ajam Of Bahrain
The Ajam of Bahrain (), or Demographics of Bahrain, Bahraini Persians (), are a group of ethnic communities in Bahrain, consisting of Bahraini nationality law, Bahraini citizens of Iranian peoples, Iranian ancestry and Ethnicities in Iran, Iranian background. Most families of this group are from a Shia Islam, Shia background, although there are a number of Sunni Islam, Sunni families of Achomi people, Achomi and Baloch people, Baluchi ancestry as well. Bahrani Arabic
Bahrani Arabic (also known as Bahrani or Baharna Arabic) is a variety of Arabic spoken by the Baharna in Eastern Arabia and Oman. In Bahrain, the dialect is primarily spoken in Shia villages and some parts of Manama. In Saudi Arabia, the dialect is spoken in the governorate of Qatif. In Oman, it is spoken in the governorates of Al Dhahirah and Al Batinah. The Bahrani Arabic dialect has been significantly influenced by the ancient Aramaic, Syriac, and Akkadian languages. An interesting sociolinguistic feature of Bahrain is the existence of two main dialects: Bahrani and Sunni Arabic. The Baharna in Kuwait () migrated from their home country of Bahrain to Kuwait in the second half of the 18th century due to commercial opportunities or persecution or political instability in the Al Khalifa sheikhdom. The Baharna of Kuwait were typically shipbuilders, lived in their own quarter (فريج البحارنة firīj il-Baḥārna), although not segregated and were not prohibited from living elsewhere. Shia Islam is the second-largest Islamic schools and branches, branch of Islam. The House of Khalifa () is the ruling family of the Kingdom of Bahrain. They profess Sunni Islam and belong to the Anizah tribe.
