Baggalútur is an Icelandic musical band. The band performs original songs. popular Icelandic songs and Icelandic renditions of international hits from various genres. Baggalútur also performs on annual Christmas celebrations. Jóhanna Guðrún Jónsdóttir
Jóhanna Guðrún Jónsdóttir (born 16 October 1990), known outside Iceland as Yohanna, is an Icelandic singer. Beginning her music career as a child singer, Yohanna received international recognition after representing Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song " Is It True?", placing as the runner-up. This tied for the best result Iceland had ever achieved in the contest. Following the success at Eurovision, she released the studio album '' Butterflies and Elvis'' (2009). Following Eurovision 2009, Yohanna has since attempted to represent Iceland again on two occasions. In 2011, she reached the finals of '' Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins 2011'' with the song "Nótt", and later won the OGAE Second Chance Contest 2011 as well, while she failed to reach the finals in '' Söngvakeppnin 2013'' with the song "Þú". Prins Póló
Svavar Pétur Eysteinsson (26 April 1977 – 29 September 2022), better known by his stage name Prins Póló, was an Icelandic singer-songwriter and experimental artist. He was also part of the Icelandic band Skakkamanage. Skakkamanage Svavar Pétur Eysteinsson started his career in the mid-2000s when he developed the alternative rock band Skakkamanage that released three albums: ''Lab of Love'' in 2006, followed by ''All Over The Face'' in 2008. The latter album was nominated for "Best Album" in Iceland Kraumur Awards. The band made a comeback in 2014 with the album ''Sounds of Merrymaking'' with "Free From Love" released as a single from the latter album. A rock band or pop band is a small musical ensemble that performs rock music, pop music, or a related genre. A four-piece band is the most common configuration in rock and pop music. Friðrik Dór
Friðrik Dór Jónsson (born 7 October 1988) is an Icelandic R&B and pop singer-songwriter. He began his career forming the band Fendrix with his schoolmates while in grade 8. He played drums in the band. The band took part in Músíktilraunir in 2003. He studied in Verzlunarskóli Íslands, a commerce college in Iceland, taking part in a number of musicals at the college. His first solo record was in 2009, with the song "Hlið við hlið" that was played heavily on FM 957 reaching number 2 on the station's charts. He also landed a part in the film ''Bjarnfreðarson'', released around Christmas 2009. His follow-up singles were "Á sama stað" in collaboration with the rapper Erpur Eyvindarson and "Fyrir hana" both in 2010.
