Baduy People
Baduy people (; ) (sometimes spelled as Badui or Kanékés) are an indigenous Sundanese people, Sundanese ethnic group native to the southeastern part of Banten, specifically Lebak Regency, Banten, Indonesia. Etymology The term is a short form derived from in the Baduy language. It is a native Sundanese term that refers to an endemic Trichosanthes, vine plant of western Java (''Trichosanthes villosa''), used as a herbal medicine since ancient times. As part of the Sundanese family, ''baduyut'' also bears the same meaning in Old Sundanese language, Old and Sundanese language, Modern Sundanese. It is likely that in ancient times, there was a river called Baduyut, as the term () itself literally means "Baduyut River" in the Sundanese language, thus it is possible that this tribe was named after the river. Old Sundanese Language
Old Sundanese (Sundanese script: , Old Sundanese script: , Buda script: , Roman script: ) is the earliest recorded stage of the Sundanese language which is spoken in the western part of Java, Indonesia. The evidence is recorded in inscriptions from around the 12th to 14th centuries and ancient palm-leaf manuscripts from the 15th to 17th centuries AD. Old Sundanese is no longer used today, but has developed into its descendant, Sundanese language, modern Sundanese. Kendeng Mountains
Kedeng is a high stratovolcano on western Java, Indonesia. The volcano comprises andesites and andesitic breccias which date back to the Pleistocene. It was active between 1.8 million and 700 thousand years ago. The volcano presently does not display any surface activity, though the caldera is rounded in shape, indicating previous violent eruptions. There are several mountains in Indonesia with the name Kendeng.
