Badruddin Amiruldin
Badruddin bin Amiruldin (born 20 May 1951) is a Malaysian politician. He is currently the Permanent Chairman of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), the largest Malay political party in the country and the leader of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. Badruddin was also, until his defeat in the March 2008 General Elections, the Member of Parliament for the constituency of Jerai, Kedah in the lower house of Parliament, the Dewan Rakyat. Early political life Badruddin was not a very well known politician in the early 1990s and started as a backbencher in Parliament, when he made his electoral debut in the 1992 Jerai by-election and get elected the first time as the Member of Parliament for the constituency of Jerai before it was abolished in 1995. The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore. Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, few provinces in the Philippines and several provinces in Indonesia regularly award honorary and life titles. The Malaysian National News Agency (), is a news agency of the government of Malaysia. It is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Communications. The Most Esteemed Order of Loyalty to the Crown of Malaysia () is a Malaysian federal award presented for meritorious service to the country and awarded by the sovereign. The order was instituted on 15 April 1966 and gazetted on 30 June 1966. The order has three ranks. Order ranks Grand Commander The highest class of the order is the Grand Commander of the Order of Loyalty to the Crown of Malaysia (S.S.M.) (). The award recipient receives the title '' Tun'' and his wife '' Toh Puan''. The number of awards conferred is limited to 25 living recipients only at any time. Nasharudin Mat Isa
Nasharudin bin Mat Isa (born 19 October 1962) is a Malaysian politician and activist. He was former Member of the Parliament of Malaysia. He represented the constituency of Yan, Kedah, from 1999 to 2004, and the seat of Bachok, Kelantan, from 2008 to 2013. From 2005 to 2011 he was the Deputy President of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS). Background Nasharudin was born in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Contrary to popular belief, Nasharudin never attended the University of Glasgow. 1992 Jerai By-election
The 1992 Jerai by-election is a by-election for the Dewan Rakyat federal seat of Jerai, Malaysia that were held on 4 March 1992. It was called following the death of the incumbent, Ghazali Ahmad on 5 February 1992. Background Ghazali Ahmad, a candidate from Barisan Nasional (BN), were first elected to the Parliament of Malaysia federal seat of Jerai at the 1986 Malaysian general election, and defends the seat at the 1990 Malaysian general election, defeating Subky Latiff from Pan Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS).
