Badol Khondokar (born 27 May 1960) is a Bangladeshi film director and producer. Biography Khondokar was born on 27 May 1960. He directed films like ''Swapner Prithibi'', ''Prithibi Tomar Amar'', ''Sagorika'', ''Abar Ekti Juddho'', ''Prem Korechhi Besh Korechhi'' and ''Bidrohi Padma''. These films are selected for preservation in Bangladesh Film Archive. His last direction was ''Bidrohi Padma''. It was released in 2006. He involved in producing films too. Kurigram-3 is a constituency represented in the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) of Bangladesh since 2019 by MA Matin of the Awami League. Boundaries The constituency encompasses Ulipur Upazila. History The constituency was created in 1984 from the Rangpur-16 constituency when the former Rangpur District was split into five districts: Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Rangpur, Kurigram, and Gaibandha. Ahead of 2008 general election, the Election Commission redrew constituency boundaries to reflect population changes revealed by the 2001 Bangladesh census. The 2008 redistricting altered the boundaries of the constituency. 2014 Bangladeshi General Election
General elections were held in Bangladesh on 5 January 2014, in accordance with the constitutional requirement that elections must take place within the 90-day period before the expiration of the term of the Jatiya Sangshad on 24 January 2014. The elections were not free and fair. They were preceded by a government crackdown on the opposition, with Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Opposition leader Khaleda Zia was put under house arrest. There were widespread arrests of other opposition members, violence and strikes by the opposition, attacks on religious minorities, and extrajudicial killings by the government, with around 21 people killed on election day. Jatiya Party (Ershad)
The Jatiya Party ( bn, জাতীয় পার্টি, translit=Jatiyo Party, lit=National Party) is a conservative, nationalist political party in Bangladesh and is currently the main opposition in the Jatiya Sangsad, against the Awami League. The current chairman of the party is Ghulam Muhammad Quader. On 3 January 2019, the party announced its decision to join the Bangladesh Awami League-led Grand Alliance after having been in opposition for the previous parliamentary term. However, the party backtracked the next day and announced that it intended to remain part of the opposition. Currently, it holds Rangpur out of Bangladesh's 12 city corporations.
