Babafemi Badejo
Babafemi Badejo is a Nigerian academic, writer and diplomat. Early life and education Badejo was born on 4 March 1955, in Ijebu Ode He attended Saint Saviours Primary School, Italowajoda, Ijebu Ode and Baptist Primary School, Ereko, Ijebu Ode. He finished at Ijebu Ode Grammar School, Ijebu Ode before proceeding to the University of Lagos in 1973 for his first degree in political science. He completed his Ph.D. in political science at the University of California, Los Angeles, (UCLA), US in 1982 and later LL.B., Bachelor of Law, University of Lagos, Nigeria. January 1990. He was called to the Nigerian Bar as a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on 12 December 1990. Life and Career Badejo married Adejumoke Odusanya on 9 September 1977, and they have three daughters, a son and grandchildren. Bolaji Badejo
Bolaji Badejo (23 August 1953 – 22 December 1992) was a Nigerian visual artist and actor. He was known for playing the Alien in Ridley Scott's 1979 film '' Alien''. He was tall, a height which convinced Scott to cast him in the role. It is his sole acting credit. Life and career Born in Lagos, Badejo was of Yoruba descent and was the son of the director general of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation. He studied in Ethiopia, then in the United States before finally moving to London to specialize in graphic design. Badejo was discovered in a Soho pub by a member of director Ridley Scott's casting team, who had been searching for a candidate to play the titular creature in his science fiction horror film ''Alien''. Standing at 6 ft 10 inches in height, he was chosen to play the part due to his height and "very long legs". Emmanuel Adetoyese Badejo
Emmanuel Adetoyese Badejo is a Nigerian Catholic Church, Catholic prelate who has served as the Bishop of Roman Catholic Diocese of Oyo, Oyo Diocese. Badejo was ordained a priest by Julius Babatunde Adelakun on 4 January 1986 and was appointed the Bishop of Oyo Diocese by Pope Benedict XVI after Adelakun's retirement on 14 August 2007. Early life and education Badejo was born on 13 July 1961. He studied philosophy at Saints Peter and Paul Seminary, Ibadan, Oyo State. He later obtained a Bachelor of Theology degree from the Pontifical Urban University in Rome, Italy. In 1995, he obtained a Licentiate in Pastoral Communications ''Summa cum laude'' from the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome. Lagoas De Pedra Badejo
The Lagoas de Pedra Badejo is an area of wetlands on the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. It is a site comprising two coastal lagoons at the estuaries of the rivers Ribeira dos Picos and Ribeira Seca, and the entire basin of the latter, including the reservoir Barragem de Poilão. It lies south of the town of Pedra Badejo, on the north-east coast of the island. The lagoons are of great ecological value for birds as they contain fresh or only slightly brackish water. They have been recognised as a wetland of international importance by designation under the Ramsar Convention since 2005. The area around the lagoons is intensively cultivated with coconuts, sugarcane, bananas, cassava and various vegetables. The lagoons, which hold water all year, lie at the mouth of three seasonal watercourses which, when in flood during the wet season, deposit large amounts of mud and debris in the lagoons, making them attractive to water birds such as waders and herons.
