Shakeel Badayuni (3 August 1916 – 20 April 1970) was an Indian Urdu poet, lyricist and songwriter in Hindi / Urdu language films. Early life Shakeel Badayuni was born in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. Shaukat Ali Khan (1879 - 27 August 1961), better known as ''Fani Badayuni'' (his takhallus), was an Indian Urdu poet. Early life and education He was schooled at Government High School and graduated from Bareilly College in 1901, studied law at Aligarh Muslim University, earning L.L.B. degree in 1906. Career Badayuni started composing poetry around Eleven years of age. Abdul Hamid Qadri Badayuni
Abd al-Ḥāmid al-Qādirī al-Badāyūnī (; November 11, 1898 – July 20, 1970), also known as ''Mujahid-e-Millat'', was a Pakistani Islamic scholar, Sufi, poet, and leader from Pakistan. He was the founder of the Islamic college Jamia-Talimat-e-Islamiya located in Karachi. Family background Badayuni was born in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh on 11 November 1898. His father, Hakim Abdul Qayyum, died 20 days after he was born. His grandfather, Abdul Majid Qadri, was a Shaikh of Qadri Sufi Order. Muhammad Abdul-Hayy Siddiqui (1857–1912), writing under the pen-name Bekhud Badayuni, was one of the leading Urdu poets of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries in India. Budaun (romanised: Badāʾūn or Badāyūn, ) is a medieval city and headquarters of Budaun district, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is located about a mile east of the Sot river, and 27 km north of the Ganges, in the Rohilkhand region of Uttar Pradesh. Zamir Ali Badayuni (sometimes spelled ''Badayooni'' or ''Badaiyuni''; 20 June 1941 – 20 October 2003) was a Pakistani critic and broadcaster on the Karachi literary scene. He worked at the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation with Saleem Ahmed and Qamar Jameel.
