"Bad Time" is a song by American rock band Alkaline Trio. It was released on November 30, 2023, as the second single from their tenth album, ''Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs''. The song was written by Matt Skiba, Dan Andriano, and Derek Grant. Background "Bad Time" was mainly inspired by two life-threatening situations that Alkaline Trio guitarist Matt Skiba had been involved in during his life, and the comfort that he was given through hearing the voice of a loved one. In 2019, Skiba was also the guitarist for Blink-182 and had stopped in El Paso, Texas for a show when a mass shooting occurred at a nearby Walmart the day before. The band was locked down in their hotel room shortly after being notified of the situation when Skiba received a phone call from a friend and crush. Alkaline Trio
Alkaline Trio is an American punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Since 2001, the band has consisted of Matt Skiba (vocals, guitar), Dan Andriano (vocals, bass) and Derek Grant (drums, vocals). Founded in late 1996 by Skiba, bassist Rob Doran, and drummer Glenn Porter, Alkaline Trio released its debut single, "Sundials", in 1997. Following its release, Doran departed from the band and was replaced by Andriano. The band subsequently recorded an EP, '' For Your Lungs Only'' (1998), and its debut studio album, '' Goddamnit'' (1998). Atom Willard
Adam David "Atom" Willard (born August 15, 1973) is an American drummer who has been a member of several notable musical acts. Willard's drumming career began in 1990 when he joined Rocket from the Crypt, with whom he remained until 2000. Subsequently, he joined The Special Goodness, The Offspring, and in 2005 became a founding member of Angels & Airwaves. In 2007 Willard departed from The Offspring to focus on his work with Angels & Airwaves, and in April 2009 he also joined Social Distortion, but left the following March.
