Mike Bacsik (left-handed Pitcher)
Michael Joseph Bacsik (; born November 11, 1977) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher and current radio host. He is known for giving up Barry Bonds' 756th career home run on August 7, 2007, which broke the all-time record formerly held by Hank Aaron. After his baseball career, Bacsik was a radio producer for KTCK, but was later fired. A year later, he was hired as a radio host at KRLD-FM. Baseball career Early years Bacsik was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 18th round (543rd overall) in the Major League Baseball draft out of Duncanville High School. He was in his sixth minor league season with the Indians organization before making his debut on August 5, . He was supposed to be serving mop-up duty, as the Seattle Mariners had opened up a huge lead on the Indians. He was knocked around at first and settled in. Elek Bacsik
Elek Bacsik (22 May 1926 – 14 February 1993) was a Hungarian-American jazz guitarist and violinist. He was the cousin of guitarist Django Reinhardt. Career Bacsik was born in Budapest, Hungary. He was the son of Árpád Bacsik and Erzsébet Pócsi. He studied classical violin at the Budapest Conservatory before moving to jazz guitar. He worked in a big band with Jozsef Quitter and Geza Szabo and recorded for the first time in his career with this band in 1943. A few years later he went on tour in Europe and Lebanon with Mihaly Tabanyi. He was hired by Renato Carosone to be in a quartet with Peter Van Wood and Gegè Di Giacomo in which he played bass, violin, and guitar. When he lived in Paris, he accompanied American musicians who were passing through, such as Lou Bennett, Dizzy Gillespie, Quentin Jackson, Art Simmons, and Clark Terry. Michael James Bacsik (; born April 1, 1952), is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher who played with the Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins. Mike was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 55th round (922nd overall) of the 1970 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Bishop Dunne Catholic School.
