Bachok (federal Constituency)
Bachok is a federal constituency in Bachok District, Kelantan, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat since 1959. The federal constituency was created in the 1958 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Dewan Rakyat under the first past the post voting system. Election Commission Of Malaysia
The Election Commission of Malaysia ( ms, Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya Malaysia), abbreviated SPR or EC, is a commission set up for ensuring fair and equitable operations in undertaking the elections in Malaysia. Its establishment is mandated by executive order of the former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. The agency falls under the purview of the Prime Minister's Department. History The Election Commission (EC) was formed on 4 September 1957, under Article 114 of the Constitution of Malaysia, which empowers it to conduct elections for the Dewan Rakyat and state legislative bodies. At its establishment, the EC only consisted of a chairman and two members – Datuk Dr Mustafa Albakri Hassan together with Lee Ewe Boon and Ditt Singh. Barisan Nasional
The National Front ( ms, Barisan Nasional; abbrev: BN) is a political coalition of Malaysia that was founded in 1973 as a coalition of centre-right and right-wing political parties. It is also the third largest political coalition with 30 seats in the Dewan Rakyat after coalition Pakatan Harapan with 82 seats and the coalition Perikatan Nasional with 73 seats. The Barisan Nasional coalition employs the same inter-communal governing model of its predecessor the Alliance Party but on a wider scale, with up to 14 communal political parties involved in the coalition at one point. Awang Adek Hussin
Dato’ Seri Dr. Awang Adek bin Hussin (born 18 May 1956) is a Malaysian politician and diplomat. He is the former Malaysian Ambassador to the United States. He was the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Bachok constituency in Kelantan for one term from 2004 to 2008. Datuk Dr. Awang Adek bin Hussin is no longer an active politician he once was. He had relinquished all his party positions after the General Election in 2018. He remains active as an ordinary party member and is no longer active in party politics. The Muslim People's Party of Malaysia (, Jawi: ڤرتي هيزبول مسلمين مليسيا ; often known by its acronym: HAMIM) was a political party in Malaysia. HAMIM was founded in 1983 by Asri Muda, the former President of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) (1969-1982) and former Menteri Besar of Kelantan (1964-1973) following the failure of PAS to win back the Kelantan state government in the 1982 general election who had faced the topples of his PAS presidency by the cleric faction leading to his expulsion in 1982.
