Awang Adek Hussin
Dato’ Seri Dr. Awang Adek bin Hussin (born 18 May 1956) is a Malaysian politician and diplomat. He is the former Malaysian Ambassador to the United States. He was the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Bachok constituency in Kelantan for one term from 2004 to 2008. Datuk Dr. Awang Adek bin Hussin is no longer an active politician he once was. He had relinquished all his party positions after the General Election in 2018. He remains active as an ordinary party member and is no longer active in party politics. Since 2018, his involvements focused mainly on corporate activities and has been chairmen on a few boards. Early life and education Awang Adek was born in Bachok, Kelantan. Ng Yen Yen
Ng Yen Yen (; born 10 April 1946) is a Malaysian politician who had served in the Cabinet of Malaysia as Minister of Women, Family and Community Developmment from 2008 to 2009 and Minister of Tourism from 2009 to 2013. Her appointment as a full minister marked a milestone as the first Malaysian Chinese woman to hold a cabinet position. Ng was the first woman to be elected to the position of Vice-President of Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) from 2008 to 2013. Earlier she was the chief of the Women's wing of the MCA until 2008. Bachok
Bachok District (Jawi: باچوق ) is an administrative division (or jajahan) of Kelantan, Malaysia. It is located approximately 25 km east of Kota Bharu. The population is predominantly Malay, with Chinese and Siamese minorities. Bachok Town is the center of administration, business, and transportation of the district. The economy is mostly supported by agriculture, with significant fishing activity as well. Datuk Dr. Nasharudin bin Mat Isa (born 19 October 1962) is a Malaysian politician and activist. He was former Member of the Parliament of Malaysia. He represented the constituency of Yan, Kedah, from 1999 to 2004, and the seat of Bachok, Kelantan, from 2008 to 2013. From 2005 to 2011 he was the Deputy President of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS). Background Nasharudin was born in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. 2004 Malaysian General Election
A general election was held on Sunday, 21 March 2004 for members of the 11th Parliament of Malaysia. Voting took place in all 219 parliamentary constituencies of Malaysia, each electing one Member of Parliament to the Dewan Rakyat, the dominant house of Parliament. This is first election for Abdullah as Prime Minister since appointed for this position in 2003. Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin
Abdul Aziz bin Shamsuddin ( ms, عبدالعزيز بن شمس الدين, label= Jawi, script=arab, italic=unset; 10 June 1938 – 16 October 2020) was a Malaysian politician who served as Minister of Rural and Regional Development from 2004 to 2008. Career Since 1981, he had been Dr. Mahathir's political secretary. He was appointed a Senator by Mahathir Mohamad in 1999. He was one of the men named by former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, as part of an alleged conspiracy to oust him. Tiki Lafe (born 11 May 1954) was the Member of Parliament of Malaysia for the Mas Gading constituency in Sarawak from 1999 to 2013, representing the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) in the then-ruling Barisan Nasional coalition. Tiki was a Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development in the Barisan Nasional government (appointed in 2004), but was left out of the ministry after the 2008 election. His loss of the ministry triggered unhappiness among the Bidayuh community in Sarawak that there were no longer any Bidayuh appointed to the ministry.
