Carmit Maile Bachar (; born September 4, 1974) is an American dancer, choreographer and singer. She is a former member of the pop groups the Pussycat Dolls (2003–2008) and LadyStation (2011–2016). As a dancer, she has been on tour with Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin and No Doubt and in music videos for various artists, such as Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, the Black Eyed Peas, the Offspring, Aaliyah and Beyoncé. John Bachar
John Bachar (March 23, 1957 – July 5, 2009) was an American rock climber. Noted for his skill at free soloing, he ultimately died during a free solo climb. A fitness fanatic, he was the creator of the climbing training device known as the Bachar ladder. Early life and education Bachar was born in 1957. He grew up in Los Angeles, California, and started climbing at the bouldering hot spot of Stoney Point in the northern San Fernando Valley. After attending Westchester High School, graduating in 1974, he attended UCLA, where his father was a math professor, but dropped out to climb full-time. Obsessed with the sport, he immersed himself in books on physical training and nutrition, and soon was able to outperform his fellow climbers. Lake David Bachar (born June 3, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). Amateur career Bachar attended Wheaton North High School in Wheaton, Illinois, where he played baseball and football. After graduating high school in 2013, he enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and joined the football team. After his freshman year at UW-Whitewater, Bachar joined the baseball team in addition to still playing football. In 2015, his sophomore year and first as a member on the baseball team, he appeared in ten games (making seven starts) in which he went 7–1 with a 2.24 ERA and 46 strikeouts. Oshrat Bachar (; born 1979) is a Lieutenant colonel in the Israel Defense Forces and a commander of the Field Intelligence 727 Battalion ''"Eitam"'' which is part of the Southern Command and operates in the Gaza border of Jordan and in the Egyptian border. Yossi Bachar (; born 9 April 1964) is an Israeli Major general (Aluf) who commands the IDF's General Staff Corps. Biography Bachar was born in Rehovot, and grew up and was educated in Kibbutz Be'eri. In 1983, he enlisted in the IDF and volunteered for the Paratroopers Brigade, joining the Nahal Airborne Battalion. He underwent combat training, completed the Infantry Commanders Course, and the Infantry Officers Course. After completing the officers' course, he returned to the Paratroopers as a Platoon Commander in the Nahal Airborne Battalion and served in the battalion until the role of Company Commander. The Bachar ladder is a form of rope or metal ladder used as a training device by rock climbers to improve upper body strength. Named after noted free soloist John Bachar, Bachar ladders typically consist of PVC rungs joined by webbing or cord to create an unstable structure similar to the ratlines of a sailing ship. However, unlike ascending ratlines leaning inward using one's legs for upward progress and arms for steadying, the Bachar Ladder is typically hung at an overhanging angle of 20-45° and climbed from below using only the arms. Whereas the campus board focuses more on powerful, sometimes far-reaching movements, the Bachar ladder differs in that it swings slightly when it is being climbed, requiring the climber to use more core tension to maintain stability.
