Michele Bacci, (born 17 June 1970) is an Italian art historian. He has been professor of medieval history of art at the University of Fribourg since 2011 and a member of the Academia Europaea since 2015. Icilio Bacci, born Icilio Baccich (Fiume, 2 July 1879 – disappeared 28 August 1945), was an Italian irredentist and Fascist politician, member of the Senate of the Kingdom of Italy. Biography Born into a large family of Italian nationalist traditions (he had eleven brothers and sisters, and he and all his brothers were given names beginning with "I" for "Italy"), from his youth he was one of the leading members of the Fiuman irredentism, being among the founder of the irredentist association ''La Giovane Fiume'' in 1904. After three years as a member of Fiume's municipal council, in 1910 he was appointed deputy mayor of the city, and in the same year he travelled to Rome, where he became one of the founders of the Italian Nationalist Association. Giovanni Bacci (7 March 1857 – 9 August 1928) was an Italian journalist and politician. He was one of the main leaders of the Italian Socialist Party (PSI). Career Born in Belforte all'Isauro, near Urbino, Bacci was journalist and director of ''Rivista di Ferrara'' and ''La Provincia di Mantova''. In 1903, he became a member of the PSI, and in 1912 he was appointed director of the party's newspaper '' Avanti!'' In 1921, Bacci was elected as secretary of the PSI, which suffered a split that led to the foundation of the Communist Party of Italy. He led the party in the 1921 Italian general election held on 15 May. Under his leadership, the PSI was confirmed as the first party in the country with 24.7% of votes but lost 33 seats. For 2013–14 season he joined Tuttocuoio (then in Serie C2) on loan and became the first-choice goalkeeper for the club. Edmondo Bacci (July 21, 1913 – October 16, 1978) was an Italian painter born in Venice. He is best known for a series of paintings called ''Avvenimenti''. Bacci studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia and was a member of the artist's Movimento Spaziale, a group founded by Lucio Fontana. He began exhibiting internationally in 1956.
