Mudug ( so, Mudug; it, Mudugh) is an administrative region ('' gobol'') in north-central Somalia. The population of Mudug is 131,455 as of 2005. Galkayo District ( so, Degmada Gaalkacyo) is a district in the north-central Mudug region of Somalia. Its capital is Galkayo.
