"Babyshambles" is the first single by Pete Doherty Peter Doherty (born 12 March 1979) is an English musician. He is best known for being co-frontman of the Libertines, which he formed with Carl Barât in 1997. His other musical projects are indie rock, indie bands Babyshambles and Peter Dohert ...'s post- Libertines band of the same name. It was released in April 2004 on High Society Records. The single was limited to 2,000 copies of the CD and 1,000 copies of the 7" vinyl. It peaked at number No. 32 on the UK Singles Chart. Babyshambles
Babyshambles are an English rock band established in London. The band was formed by Pete Doherty (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) during a hiatus from the Libertines. As of 2014 the band included Mick Whitnall (lead guitar), Drew McConnell (bass guitar, backing vocals), Patrick Walden (lead guitar) and Adam Ficek (drums, percussion). Alan Hammonds
Alan Hammonds (born 4 November 1955) (aka Jordy and Johnny Black) is an English singer-songwriter. He was born in Horden, County Durham, England. Career Alan Hammonds (guitar/vocals) formed the British power pop band Incredible Kidda Band, alongside his brother Graham "Kidder" Hammonds (percussion/backing vocals), in Nuneaton on 10 February 1976. The band experienced several name changes, beginning with the shortening of the name to The Kidda Band, before changing name completely to The Kicks on 7 November 1979. Hammonds then formed We're Only Human, a British power pop rock band in London on 1 July 1981. We're Only Human disbanded in 1989. "Killamangiro" is a song by English band, Babyshambles, released in November 2004 through Rough Trade Records. It achieved respectable chart success, peaking at #8 on the UK Singles Chart. The song itself features an unusual opening beat from drummer Gemma Clarke and is recognised for guitarist Patrick Walden's "messy" style of play and frontman Pete Doherty's distinctive vocals. It is a regular feature of live setlists by the band and is one of their most popular and well known songs. The title is a pun on the name of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, and further mixes in the song's lyrics about "kill nga man for his giro" – a bank deposit method often associated with British unemployment benefits. The Libertines
The Libertines are an English Rock music, rock band, formed in London in 1997 by frontmen Carl Barât (vocals/guitar) and Pete Doherty (vocals/guitar). The band, centred on the songwriting partnership of Barât and Doherty, included John Hassall (musician), John Hassall (bass), and Gary Powell (musician), Gary Powell (drums) for most of its recording career.
