Babydog
Babydog Justice is an English bulldog owned by current Senator and former Governor Jim Justice of West Virginia. Described by the ''Washington Post'' as a "fixture in West Virginia politics", she is known for regularly accompanying Justice at public engagements. Personal life Babydog was a gift to Jim Justice from his children in 2019. According to Justice, she got her name as a puppy after Justice grandson would keep calling her Babydog. The name stuck and that's when Babydog gained the name that is known all over the world. Justice has described Babydog as a "little rascal who looks like a brown watermelon that loves everybody". She loves chicken nuggets from Wendy's and hates celery. In February 2024, Babydog successfully underwent ligament surgery. Jim Justice
James Conley Justice II (born April 27, 1951) is an American politician and businessman serving since 2025 as the junior United States senator from West Virginia. A member of the Republican Party, he served from 2017 to 2025 as the 36th governor of West Virginia. Justice was once a billionaire, but his net worth had declined to $513.3 million as of 2021. He inherited a coal mining business from his father that included 94 companies. He and his family own the Greenbrier, a luxury resort and National Historic Landmark in White Sulphur Springs. In 2015, Justice announced his candidacy for governor in 2016. Although a registered Republican before running for governor, he ran as a Democrat and defeated the Republican nominee, Bill Cole. Less than seven months after taking office, Justice switched back to the Republican Party after announcing his plans at a rally with President Donald Trump in the state. He was re-elected in 2020.
