Babsko Praskalo
Babsko Praskalo () is a waterfall in the Central Balkan National Park, Balkan Mountains, central Bulgaria. With a height of 54 m the waterfall is among the lowest in the area. Babsko Praskalo is located near the Rusalka and Ravna refuges, on the path between the village of Tazha and Tazha Refuge. The waterfall is situated on the river Babska which is a left tributary of the Tazha of the Tundzha river basin. Balkan Mountains
The Balkan mountain range is located in the eastern part of the Balkan peninsula in Southeast Europe, Southeastern Europe. It is conventionally taken to begin at the peak of Vrashka Chuka on the border between Bulgaria and Serbia. Central Balkan National Park
The Central Balkan National Park () is a national park in the heart of Bulgaria, nestled in the central and higher portions of the Balkan Mountains. Its altitude varies from near the town of Karlovo to at Botev Peak, the highest summit in the range. It was established on 31 October 1991. The park is the third-largest protected territory in Bulgaria, spanning an area of 716.69 km2 with a total length of 85 km from west to east and an average width of 10 km. It occupies parts of 5 of the country's 28 provinces: Lovech, Gabrovo, Sofia, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora. The national park also includes nine nature reserves, covering 28% of its territory: Boatin, Tsarichina, Kozya Stena, Steneto, Severen Dzhendem, Peeshti Skali, Sokolna, Dzhendema and Stara Reka. Tazha (river)
The Tazha () is a river in southern Bulgaria, a left tributary of the river Tundzha of the Maritsa drainage, with a length of 26 km. Its upper course falls within the Dzhendema nature reserve of the Central Balkan National Park. Geography The Tazha takes its source at an altitude of 1,726 m in the Kalofer division of the Balkan Mountains, at 1.4 km south of the summit of Maragidik (1,889 m). In its first four kilometers the river flows eastwards and then bends south in a densely forested deep, at places canyon–like, valley with steep slopes. Northwest of the village of Tazha it leaves the mountain range, forms a large alluvial fan, turns southeast and enters the Kazanlak Valley. The Tundzha ( ; ; ''Tonsus'' in antiquity) is a river in southeastern Bulgaria and northwesternmost Turkey, a left tributary of the Maritsa.
