Babati Urban District
Babati Urban District (or Babati Town Council) is one of the six districts of the Manyara Region of Tanzania. Babati Urban District is surrounded by Babati Rural District. The administrative capital of the district is Babati town. According to the 2012 Tanzania National Census, the population of Babati Urban District was 93,108. Transport Paved trunk road T14 from Singida connects with trunk road T5 in Babati Urban District. Trunk road T5 from Dodoma to Arusha passes through the district; it is paved from Babati up to Arusha. As of 2021,there are 31 regions of Tanzania which are divided into 184 districts (Swahili: wilaya). In 2016, Songwe Region was created from the western part of Mbeya Region. The districts are each administered by a district council. Cities are separately administered by their own councils, and while administratively within a region, are not considered to be located within a district. Babati District
Babati Rural District is a district of Manyara Region of Tanzania, East Africa. The administrative capital of the district is Babati town, south of Arusha. The district covers an area of , a large proportion (640 km2) of which is covered by the water bodies of Lake Babati, Lake Burunge and Lake Manyara. The district is bordered to the north by Arusha Region, to the south east by Simanjiro District, to the south by Dodoma Region, to the south west by Hanang District, and to the north west by Mbulu District. Babati Urban District is located within the district. Babati District was established by dividing the then Hanang District into two districts - Babati and Hanang. Singida
Singida is a town in central Tanzania. The town is the location of the regional headquarters of Singida Region as well as the district headquarters of Singida Urban District. The region and district are named after the town. Transport Road links Paved Trunk road T3 from Morogoro to the Rwandan border passes through the town. Dodoma
Dodoma ( in Gogo), officially Dodoma City, is the national capital of Tanzania and the capital of the Dodoma Region, with a population of 410,956. In 1974, the Tanzanian government announced that the capital would be moved to Dodoma for social and economic reasons and to centralise the capital within the country.
