"Baarish" () is a Hindi song from the film '' Half Girlfriend''. It is written by Arafat Mehmood and Tanishk Bagchi, and composed by Tanishk Bagchi. It is sung by Ash King. Background According to a report by the ''Hindustan Times'' newspaper, singer Jubin Nautiyal claimed he had recorded the song and was shocked when he realized his version was not retained. Reacting to the statement, composer Tanishk Bagchi said they had recorded the song with many singers but found Ash King's version to be the most suitable for the film. Release and response It was released on 11 April 2017 by Zee Music Company on YouTube. The recording by Ash King was well received; within a few days of its release, the music video garnered 10 million views on YouTube. Critical reception ''The Times of India'' reviewed the song as the monsoon song of the year for all those romantic at heart. Arjun Kapoor (born 26 June 1985) is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films. Born to the Surinder Kapoor family, he is the son of film producers Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie. The Zee Cine Award (ZCA) is an annual Indian awards ceremony for the Hindi film industry. They were instituted in November 1997 to award "Excellence in cinema – the democratic way". The 10th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by the Radio Mirchi, honoured the best music professionals of Hindi language Indian films of 2017.
