Baandhon
''Baandhon'' () is a 2012 Cinema of Assam, Assamese Assamese language, language drama film, starring Bishnu Kharghoria and Bina Patangia in the lead roles. The film was directed by Jahnu Barua and produced by Assam State Film (Finance & Development) Corporation Limited. The film was initially released on 26 October 2012 in the state of Assam and later on 5 July 2013 in selected PVR Cinemas, PVR theaters across rest of India. The film focuses on an elderly couple, Dandeswar and Hkawni, who arrive in Mumbai in search of their missing grandson after 2008 Mumbai attacks, 26/11 2008 terror attack. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Assamese, Best Feature Film in Assamese award in the 60th National Film Awards and also won the Best Film award in the Indian Films Competition at the Bengaluru International Film Festival for the year 2012. Jahnu Barua (born 1952) is an Indian film director. He has written and directed a number of Assamese language, Assamese and Hindi films. 60th National Film Awards
The 60th National Film Awards ceremony was an event during which the Directorate of Film Festivals presented its annual National Film Awards to honour the best films of 2012 in the Indian cinema. The ceremony was held on 3 May 2013 and was hosted by actors R. Madhavan and Huma Qureshi. Selection process The Directorate of Film Festivals invited nominations for the awards on 3 January 2013. Jatin Bora
Jatin Bora (born 25 April 1970) is an Indian actor and director who has appeared in Assamese language films since 1989. He is also an actor and director in some mobile theatre (''Bhramyaman'') groups of Assam, including Aabahan, Hengool, Ashirbaad, Bhagyadevi, Kohinoor, Itihas and Surjya. Early life Jatin Bora was born to Sri Gakul Chandra Bora and Premolata Bora, in Kacholukhowa village, Nagaon, Assam. He did his primary schooling in Marikalang Prathamik Vidyalaya and secondary schooling at Dawson Higher Secondary and Multipurpose School. The National Film Award for Best Assamese Feature Film is one of the National Film Awards presented annually by the National Film Development Corporation of India. It is one of several awards presented for feature films and awarded with Rajat Kamal (Silver Lotus). The National Film Awards, established in 1954, are the most prominent film awards in India that merit the best of the Indian cinema.
