Bridgepoint Group plc is a British private investment company listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. History Bridgepoint was founded as NatWest Equity Partners, a private equity firm part of NatWest. The firm was renamed Bridgepoint Capital in May 2000 following a management buyout. In May 2001, Bridgepoint closed its first fund following its independence from NatWest. The fund closed at €2 billion, and made its first investments in WT Foods, Virgin Active and Hydrex. The firm closed its Europe II fund in 2001 and its Europe III fund in 2005. Bridgepoint closed its Europe IV fund in 2008 for €4.8 billion. In 2011, the firm was renamed Bridgepoint Advisers. Zovio, formerly Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (BPI), is a publicly held, American for-profit education services company. It was the online program manager for one online university, the University of Arizona Global Campus (formerly Ashford University), until the contract termination was announced August 1, 2022. In April 2019, the company changed its name to Zovio, moving its headquarters to Chandler, Arizona. In 2020, the company sold Ashford University to the University of Arizona. Zovio also owns Waypoint Outcomes and Fullstack Academy and trades on NASDAQ under the ticket symbol ZVO. Holiday Bowl
The Holiday Bowl is a post-season NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision college football bowl game that has been played in San Diego since 1978. San Diego County Credit Union has been the game's title sponsor since 2017, and the bowl has been officially known as the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl. Past editions of the bowl were played at San Diego Stadium. Future editions are planned to be played at Petco Park in San Diego, under a five-year arrangement reached in 2021. Petco Park, the baseball park of the San Diego Padres, will be reconfigured to accommodate a football field. San Diego Stadium was demolished beginning in the autumn of 2020. The bowl was not played following the 2020 and 2021 seasons, due to impact from the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a member of the Sinai Health and affiliated with the University of Toronto In October 2021 Sinai Health announced that Bridgepoint Active Healthcare will be renamed Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital in recognition of a transformational $36 million gift from Jay and Barbara Hennick, longtime leaders and supporters of Sinai Health. Jay was the Chair of the Board of Directors of Mount Sinai Hospital and Sinai Health from 2013 to 2016 and Barbara currently sits on the Sinai Health Foundation Board of Directors and was President of the Auxiliary from 2005 to 2007."
