Battle Of The Bastards
"Battle of the Bastards" is the ninth and penultimate episode of the sixth season of HBO's fantasy television series ''Game of Thrones'' and its 59th episode overall. It was written by series co-creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, and directed by Miguel Sapochnik. Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton face off in a battle for control of Winterfell. Jon's force, mostly composed of Wildlings, is nearly defeated by the Bolton army, but the latter is overcome when Sansa Stark and Petyr Baelish arrive with the Knights of the Vale. The battle culminates in Ramsay's defeat and capture, followed by his death at the hands of Sansa. Meanwhile, Daenerys Targaryen defeats the Masters in Meereen and begins making new alliances. ''Battle of the Blades'' (or ''BOTB'' for short) is a Canadian figure skating reality show and competition that airs on CBC Television. The show originally aired for four seasons between 2009 and 2013. It was revived for a fifth season in 2019. It was first broadcast before a live audience at the historic Maple Leaf Gardens. With Maple Leaf Gardens under renovation however, the show was filmed at Pinewood Toronto Studios in season two. The venue moved again in season three to MasterCard Centre located in Etobicoke, Ontario. For the revived fifth season in 2019, the venue was at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. The venue changed again in the sixth season to the CAA Centre, located in Brampton, Ontario. Besses o' th' Barn () is a suburb in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, Greater Manchester, England. The population at the 2011 Census was 10,664. It lies between Radcliffe and Prestwich. Besses o' th' Barn tram stop is on the electrified line from Manchester Victoria to Bury. The station closed for eight months for conversion to Metrolink use, re-opening on 6 April 1992. A three-layer bridge enables Bury Old Road to run under the Manchester Metrolink line by the Metrolink station and over the M60 motorway near Junction 17. McDonald's, Aldi and the Co-op have stores on the retail park where Bury New Road and Bury Old Road cross, while Besses United Reformed Church, designed by Alfred Waterhouse, stands nearby. The area is the home of Besses o' th' Barn Band, a brass band formed in 1818.
