BMW CS Concept
The BMW CS Concept is a concept car was first displayed by the German car manufacturer BMW in 2007 at the Shanghai Auto Show. BMW claimed that CS Concept could be produced, following positive initial comments in 2007 by BMW dealers. This was followed up in 2008 by an announcement by BMW that the concept would be put into production in the form of the BMW Gran Turismo. BMW later cancelled plans for production in November 2008 because of financial reasons amidst a global economic crisis. Design and features Based on the 7 Series (E65) platform, the CS Concept features future design cues on BMW automobiles. The front fascia features the BMW trademark split-kidney grille, which is larger than previous BMW models and now integrated with the bumper. There are also turning indicators on the side. Karim Habib
Karim Antoine Habib (born 1970) is a Lebanese automotive designer. He is currently the executive vice president and head of Kia global design for the Korean vehicle manufacturer Kia. He previously worked for BMW and Infiniti. He is fluent in Arabic, English, French, German, and Italian. Career Born in Lebanon, Habib had to leave the country due to the ensueing civil war and moved to Canada in his teenage years, and was educated at McGill University, as well as Transportation Design at the Art Center College of Design. In 1998, he was hired by BMW. He got his first break at BMW designing the interior of the E60 5 Series. Later he designed the exterior of the BMW 7 Series F01. He left to work for Mercedes-Benz in 2009 for a few years and came back to BMW in 2011 as exterior designer until January 2017. BMW 3 Series (F30)
The sixth generation of the BMW 3 Series consists of the BMW F30 (sedan version), BMW F31 (wagon version, marketed as 'Touring') and BMW F34 (fastback version, marketed as 'Gran Turismo') compact executive cars. The F30/F31/F34 generation was produced from October 2011 to 2019 and is often collectively referred to as the F30. For the sixth generation, the coupé and convertible models were spun off to create the new BMW 4 Series nameplate. BMW also introduced a separate hatchback model under the 3 Series nameplate called the 3 Series Gran Turismo (F34), similar to the 5 Series Gran Turismo. BMW 6 Series (F06/F12/F13)
The third generation of the BMW 6 Series consists of the BMW F12 (two-door convertible version), BMW F13 (two-door coupé version) BMW F06 (four-door "Gran Coupé" version) executive-sized grand tourers. The F12/F13/F06 generation was produced from 2011 to 2018 and is often collectively referred to as the F12. The F12 shares a platform and many features with the F10 5 Series and F01 7 Series, with the two-door F12/13 models having a shorter wheelbase than the F10, while the four-door F06's wheelbase matches the F10's. The M6 versions are powered by the S63 twin-turbocharged V8 engine mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. It is the first M6 model to use a turbocharged engine. BMW F01
The fifth generation of the BMW 7 Series was manufactured and marketed by BMW for model years 2008-2015 in two full-size luxury sedans configurations: F01 (short-wheelbase) and F02 (long-wheelbase) configurations.
