BISU Union
The Beijing International Studies University Student Union (BSU), usually referred to as BISU Union, is the representative body of undergraduate students at the Beijing International Studies University, while the Graduate Union takes the responsibility for graduate student affairs. In addition, there are students' unions at department/school levels, which runs independently to the BISU Union by department committees made up of students from the respective department or school. The current BISU Union executive committee is composed of the President and eight officers in charge of different functional departments, i.e. Education, Sports, Activities, Services, Welfare, Fundraising, Media and Sectretary. They share joint responsibility as trustees of the Union and are led by the Board, which is formed by the President, the Secretary and two Vice Presidents elected from the remaining department officers. The Beijing International Studies University (BISU) is a public research university based in the city of Beijing, China. Founded in 1964, it was part of the national initiative to promote tertiary foreign language education. Jianguo Road () is a major road in eastern Beijing. It forms part of the extended Chang'an Avenue. It runs from the Dabeiyao crossing ( Guomao Bridge) in the west to the start of the Jingtong Expressway in the east, although it also acts as an auxiliary road to the expressway. China International Student Union
China International Student Union (CISU) is an independent representative body of international students enrolled at universities and institutions in China. The union was created to unite students from over 200 universities across China and also to campaign the March 28th 2020 temporary student visa restrictions put in place by Chinese government as a preventative measure against COVID-19. The platforms they use for communication with students and campaigning are Instagram and Twitter. Their campaign work has been mentioned in Times Higher Education and ICEF Monitor which referenced a poll that was carried out.
