BIMM University
BIMM University (BIMM) is a private university specialising in music, film, performing arts and creative technology. The university is principally based in the United Kingdom with other centres in Ireland and Germany. It is organised into five academic schools: BIMM Music Institute, Performers College, MetFilm School, MetStudios and BIMM University Berlin. Courses are delivered at nine city-based campuses located across the UK, Ireland and Germany. It was founded in 2001 as the Brighton Institute of Modern Music, changing its name to the British and Irish Modern Music Institute in 2011 upon the opening of its Dublin campus, before shortening to BIMM Institute in 2018. Ozric Tentacles are an English instrumental rock band, whose music incorporates elements from a diverse range of genres, including psychedelic rock, progressive rock, space rock, jazz fusion, electronic music, dub music, world music, and ambient music. Sham 69 are an English punk rock band that formed in Hersham in Surrey in 1975. They changed their musical direction after seeing the Sex Pistols play live in early 1976. They were one of the most successful punk bands in the United Kingdom, achieving five top 20 singles, including "If the Kids Are United" and "Hurry Up Harry". The group's popularity saw them perform on the BBC’s ''Top of the Pops'', and they appeared in the rockumentary film ''D.O.A.: A Rite of Passage, D.O.A.''. Rachel Stamp are an English rock band formed in London in 1994. Their debut album, '' Hymns For Strange Children'', was released in 2000, followed by '' Oceans of Venus'' two years later. History Rachel Stamp were formed in 1994 when David Ryder Prangley met Will Crewdson before recruiting Cliff Harris and Mike Rowe. The band signed to WEA Records, but were dropped without releasing the album they had recorded after Clive Black, who had signed the band, left the label. Theatre of Hate are a British post-punk band formed in London, England, in 1980. Punk rock (also known as simply punk) is a rock music genre that emerged in the mid-1970s. Kirk Brandon
Kirk Brandon (born 3 August 1956) is an English musician best known as the leader of the bands Theatre of Hate and Spear of Destiny. Musical career Brandon's music career started in 1978, in Clapham, south London, with the formation of punk group The Pack, in which he was the singer and songwriter. The Pack consisted of Brandon, Scottish-born drummer Rab Fae Beith and two Canadian brothers, Simon and Jon Werner on guitars. The last live gig by The Pack took place at the 101 club in Clapham.
