BC Beroe
BC Beroe ( bg, БК Берое) is a Bulgarian professional basketball club based in Stara Zagora and plays in the Bulgarian National Basketball League. The club plays its home games at the Obshtinska Municipal Hall , which has a capacity of 800 spectators. The club was founded in 1958 after a union between Botev and Lokomotiv sports clubs. In 2012, the team promoted to the NBL. In European competition, Beroe has participated in the FIBA Europe Cup and the Balkan International Basketball League. They are 1 time finalist in Bulgarian league (2017), 1 time Bulgarian Cup winner (2017), 1 time Balkan League winner (2017). National Basketball League (Bulgaria)
The National Basketball League (NBL) (in Bulgarian: Националната баскетболна лига) is the highest professional basketball league in Bulgaria. The current league was founded in 2008, though the first-tier level existed since 1942 and was previously called the Bulgarian A Division. The games in the NBL are played under FIBA rules. The most successful team in NBL history is PBC Academic, which has won 26 national titles. Austin Price (born September 16, 1995) is an American basketball player for Heroes Den Bosch of the BNXT League. Early life Price was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, moved to Detroit when he was a sophomore in high school, and his hometown is Farmington Hills, Michigan. He is 6-4, 185 pounds (193cm, 83kg). He attended high school at Detroit Country Day (2013) in Michigan. Price played for the high school basketball team as a combo guard and team captain. As a junior, Price averaged 16 points, five assists, and two steals per game. As a senior he was team captain. Academically, he had a 3.65 GPA. The 2017–18 FIBA Europe Cup was the third season of the FIBA Europe Cup, a European professional sports, professional basketball competition for sports club, clubs that was launched by FIBA. The 2016–17 BIBL, is the ninth edition of Balkan International Basketball League. It started on 10 October 2016. Twelve teams joined the competition and were divided into two groups of six teams. Top four from each group will qualify for the second stage, where they will be divided into two groups of 4 teams. 2015–16 BIBL Season
In the eighth season of the Balkan International Basketball League, nine participants from Bulgaria, Kosovo, the Republic of Macedonia and Montenegro has competed. Teams Format In the first round the teams were divided into two groups, each containing respectively four and five teams. Each team played every other team in its group at home and away. The top three teams from each group advanced to the second round. The teams that finished fourth and fifth in their group play additionally in a qualification group to determine two additional participants to the second round. The eight remaining teams are again separated into two groups with four teams each. The teams that already have played during the first round kept the results between them from the first stage and played with the two remaining teams from the other group home and away games. The Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL), also known as the Balkan League, is a multinational professional basketball league that features mostly clubs from the Balkans. The league included teams from countries as Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania and Israel. The most recent league champion is Hapoel Galil Elyon from Israel. Purpose The purpose of the Balkan International Basketball League is to provide competitive international play for clubs in the Balkans that would otherwise be unable to participate in international basketball.
