BCIHL
The British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) is a university ice hockey league based in British Columbia. The BCIHL was created with the purpose of offering a venue for competitive, high-calibre hockey for players beyond their junior hockey careers. Teams play a 24-game regular season schedule, with the top four teams qualifying for the playoffs consisting of a best-of-three semifinal round, and a best-of-three championship series. Prior to 2012 the championship had been decided through a round-robin tournament. The league operates as one of two Division 2 leagues in Canada when compared to the Division 1 U Sports league, the other being Alberta's ACAC. BCIHL teams, however, regularly play U Sports and NCAA teams. Patrick Holland (ice Hockey)
Patrick Evan Holland (born January 7, 1992) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Holland was selected by the Calgary Flames in the 7th round (193rd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and played 5 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Montreal Canadiens. He concluded his professional career with HPK in the Finnish Liiga. Early life Patrick was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on January 7, 1992. He grew up playing in the Lethbridge minor hockey league until he was 15 before playing for the Tri-City Americans in the Western Hockey League. Castlegar, British Columbia
Castlegar is a community in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. In the Selkirk Mountains, at the confluence of the Kootenay River, Kootenay and Columbia Rivers, it is a regional trade and transportation centre, with a local economy based on forestry, mining and tourism. Canada West (formally the Canada West Universities Athletic Association or CWUAA) is a regional membership association for universities in Western Canada which assists in co-ordinating competition between their university level athletic programs and providing contact information, schedules, results, and releases about those programs and events to the public and the media. Selkirk College
Selkirk College is a public college founded in 1966 with its main campus in Castlegar, British Columbia, Canada. The college has student housing at its Castlegar and Nelson campuses.
