BBC Introducing In Oxfordshire
BBC Introducing in Oxfordshire and Berkshire is a local music show in Oxfordshire, and part of the main BBC Introducing brand. The show is broadcast between 20:00 and 22:00 on Thursday nights on BBC Oxford and is presented by Dave Gilyeat and Alex West. History BBC Oxford Introducing began as an internet only radio show, available weekly on the BBC Oxford website and presented by Tim Bearder and Dave Gilyeat. The programme then launched on BBC Radio Oxford in March 2005 as 'The Download'. It was transmitted on Friday nights for ten weeks, before moving to Saturdays. In May 2011 it moved temporarily to Sundays. With the launch of the new BBC Introducing brand in 2007 The Download was renamed BBC Oxford Introducing. In February 2009, a new tool was launched on the BBC Introducing website to allow users to upload their music directly to the presenters. Oxfordshire ( ; abbreviated ''Oxon'') is a ceremonial county in South East England. Mr Fogg
Mr Fogg is an English electronic musician from Reading, Berkshire, England. He is the grandson of an opera singer and the great-grandson of two 19th-century music hall performers. Origin of name Mr Fogg derives his name from Phileas Fogg, the main fictional character in the 1872 Jules Verne novel, ''Around the World in Eighty Days''. In an interview with BBC Radio 1's Annie Nightingale, he stated that the name arose as, 'Phileas sounds somewhat like Phil', his own Christian name. Early singles Mr Fogg's first solo material appeared at the end of 2005, and was followed by a national tour and the self-released debut single, "Giving In" which gained BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music and XFM airplay. "Love Me Do" is the debut single by the English rock band the Beatles, backed by " P.S. I Love You". When the single was originally released in the United Kingdom on 5 October 1962, it peaked at number 17. It was released in the United States in 1964 and topped the nation's song chart. Re-released in 1982 as part of EMI's Beatles 20th anniversary, it re-entered the UK charts and peaked at number 4. "Love Me Do" also topped the charts in Australia and New Zealand. The song was written several years before being recorded, and prior to the existence of the Beatles. It features John Lennon's prominent harmonica playing and duet vocals by him and Paul McCartney. ''The Bends'' is the second studio album by the English rock band Radiohead, released on 13 March 1995 by Parlophone. Artemas Diamandis (; born 23 September 1999), known professionally as Artemas, is an English singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known for his singles " If U Think I'm Pretty" and the viral " I Like the Way You Kiss Me". He is signed to the record label 10K Projects. Leonard Simbarashe Rwodzi (born 12 April 1999), known professionally as S1mba (pronounced "Simba"), is a Zimbabwean-born British singer-songwriter and rapper. He rose to prominence with his single "Rover" featuring DTG, which reached number 3 on the UK Singles Chart as a result of its popularity on the video-sharing platform TikTok, and earned him his first Brit Award nomination for " Song of the Year".
