Aš (; ) is a town in Cheb District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 13,000 inhabitants. Mokřiny (Aš)
Mokřiny (German: ''Nassengrub'') is a village and municipal part of Aš in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 500 inhabitants. Geography Mokřiny is located to the south from Aš; unlike other municipal parts, it forms a continuous populated area with it. To the east it neighbours with Vernéřov (Aš), Vernéřov, to the south with Nový Žďár, and to the southeast with Nebesa (Aš), Nebesa. To the west is the German border. History Mokřiny was established by the Zedtwitz, before 1413, when it is first mentioned. In 1874 Mokřiny became a separate municipality. In 1971 it was joined with Aš. Nový Žďár (German: ''Neuenbrand'') is a village and municipal part of Aš in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 30 inhabitants. Etymology In Czech, ''Nový'' means ''New''. Vernéřov (German: ''Wernersreuth'') is a village and municipal part of Aš in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. With about 160 inhabitants, it is the third largest municipal part of Aš. Dolní Paseky (German: ''Niederreuth'') is a village in Karlovy Vary Region, Czech Republic. It is one of the nine municipal parts of Aš. In 2021 the village had a population of 58.
