Azmi Bishara
Azmi Bishara ( born 22 July 1956) is an Arab-Israeli public intellectual, political philosopher and author. He is presently the General Director of the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. Born in Nazareth, Israel, his political activity began when he founded the National Committee for Arab High School Students in 1974. He later established the Arab Students Union when at university. In 1995 he formed the Balad party and was elected to the Knesset on its list in 1996. He was subsequently re-elected in 1999, 2003 and 2006. However, after visiting Lebanon and Syria in the aftermath of the 2006 Lebanon War, Bishara became the subject of a criminal investigation for acts of alleged treason and espionage and was suspected of supplying targeting information to Hezbollah. Ahmad Ali Barqi Azmi (25 December 1954 – 5 December 2022) was an Indian poet in the Urdu language. His poetic collections included ''Rooh-e-Sukhan''. Professionally, he served in the Persian service of All India Radio, New Delhi. He devoted his life to furtherance of the Urdu language and its literary culture. Education Ahmad Ali Barqi was educated at Shibli National College in Azamgarh and at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Abu Asim Azmi (born 8 August 1955) is a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar Constituency, Mumbai. He belongs to the Samajwadi Party. He is the President of the Maharashtra state branch of the Samajwadi Party. He currently represents Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar of Mumbai Suburban District in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Abdul Lateef Azmi
Abdul Lateef Azmi (also written as Abdul Latif Azmi - 1917–2002) was an Urdu litterateur and among the close associates of the founders of Jamia Millia Islamia. He joined Jamia Millia as a student of B.A. in 1936 and served the university over 50 years in various capacities. He was one of the longest serving editors of Jamia Millia's official magazine, ''Jamia''. He died in Delhi on May 11, 2002. In 1985, Maktaba Jamia, New Delhi, published a book ''Abdul Lateef Azmi Hayat-o-Khidmat''. Several scholars contributed chapters in the book on various facets of Abdul Lateef Azmi and his life. Abdul Haq Azmi
Abdul Haq Azmi (1928 – 30 December 2016) was an Indian Islamic scholar who was a senior professor of hadith at the Darul Uloom Deoband. He was an alumnus of Darul Uloom Mau and Darul Uloom Deoband. Biography Abdul Haq Azmi was born in 1928 in Jagdishpur, Azamgarh. He attended local schools and then Madrasa Bayt al-Ulum in Sarai Mir, Azamgarh. He later studied at Darul Uloom Mau up to 7th grade of Arabic and then entered the Darul Uloom Deoband in 1948 and graduated after studying with scholars Hussain Ahmad Madani, Izaz Ali Amrohi and Ibrahim Balyawi. He studied rational sciences with his stepfather Muslim Jaunpuri, who was a disciple of Majid Ali Jaunpuri. He was an authorized disciple of Talha Kandhlawi. Azmi taught at the Mata'ul Uloom, Banaras for over sixteen years. As a mufti at Darul Uloom Mau for thirteen years, he issued nearly 13,000 rulings. Azamgarh is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the headquarters of Azamgarh division, which consists of Ballia, Mau and Azamgarh districts. Azamgarh is situated on the bank of Tamsa River (Tons). It is located east of the state capital Lucknow and 809 km from the national capital, Delhi. Cemal Azmi (1868 – April 17, 1922), also spelled Jemal Azmi, was an Ottoman Empire, Ottoman Turkish people, Turkish politician and governor of the Trebizond Vilayet, Trebizond (now Trabzon) Vilayet (province) during World War I and the final years of the Ottoman Empire. He was one of the perpetrators of the Armenian genocide and was mainly responsible for the liquidation of Armenians in Trebizond Vilayet. He was known as the "butcher of Trebizond".
