Azhikkal
Azhikode is a coastal town situated in Kannur district of Kerala, India. Azhikode town is divided into Azhikode North and Azhikode South. The northern end of the Azhikode North is called Azhikkal. The place is the birthplace of Sukumar Azhikode, an influential thinker and literary critic. It is about from Kannur city. Demographics As of 2011 India Census, Azhikode north census town had population of 22,128 which constitutes 10,157 males and 11,971 females. Azhikode north has an area of with 4,503 families residing in it. Azhikode south census town had population of 25,195 where 11,369 are males and 13,826 are females. Indian Coast Guard Academy
The Indian Coast Guard Academy will be a military training institute for Indian Coast Guard personnel, which is currently under construction in Mangalore, Karnataka . History Indian Coast Guard personnel were historically trained at the Indian Naval Academy (INA). Following the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the Indian government initiated a program to triple its coast guard's force, assets and infrastructure. Both the Navy and the government recognized that the increased intake cadets would further tax already-stretched navy facilities. This provided an added impetus for the Union Council of Ministers to approve the establishment of the academy in 2009. The search for a site for the academy started in earnest in 2010. Byju Raveendran
Byju Raveendran (Malayalam: ബൈജു രവീന്ദ്രൻ; born 1980) is an Indian entrepreneur, investor and educator who, with his wife Divya Gokulnath, co-founded Byju's. Early life and education Byju was born in 1980 in the Azhikode village of Kerala, India to Raveendran and Shobhanavalli, physics and mathematics teachers, respectively. Koloth Thattarath Sukumaran, popularly known as Sukumar Azhikode (26 May 1926 – 24 January 2012) was an Indian academic, orator, critic and writer of Malayalam literature, known for his contributions to Malayalam language and insights on Indian philosophy. He was a scholar in Sanskrit, Malayalam, and English languages and his work, ''Tatvamasi'', published in 1984, is a notable work for its detailed interpretation of Indian philosophy, Vedas and Upanishads. He was a recipient of several honours including Sahitya Akademi Award, Kerala Sahithya Akademi Award, Vayalar Award, Vallathol Award and Ezhuthachan Puraskaram, the highest literary award of the Government of Kerala. Valapattanam
Valapattanam is a census town in the Kannur district, located in the Indian state of Kerala. It is also the smallest panchayat in Kerala. Its area is 2.04 sqr Km. It is about 7 km north of Kannur.
