Azhar Sairudin
Mohammad Azhar bin Sairudin (born 30 September 1986) is a Singapore professional footballer who currently plays as an attacking midfielder for S.League club Geylang International and the Singapore national football team. International career On 28 May 2016, Azhar was called up to represent the Singapore national football team for the 2016 AYA Bank Cup. It was Azhar's first call-up to the national team, after former Singapore national team coach Bernd Stange was replaced by his assistant V. Sundramoorthy. On 3 June 2016, Azhar made his senior international debut against Myanmar in the 2016 AYA Bank Cup, playing 60 minutes before being substituted for Yasir Hanapi. The international cup fixture eventually ended in a 1–0 win for Singapore. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. Seletar Expressway
The Seletar Expressway (Abbreviation: SLE) is a highway in Singapore that traverses the northern end of the island and joins the Central Expressway, Singapore, Central Expressway (CTE) and the Tampines Expressway (TPE) in Seletar to the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) in Kranji. History In the 1980s, the SLE was proposed to link BKE in Kranji to the junction of TPE and CTE in Yio Chu Kang. In 1983, it was announced that SLE would only be built after work on the northern expansion of SLE from Toa Payoh to Yio Chu Kang was completed. The first phase of the construction of SLE consisted of a stretch between Yio Chu Kang and Upper Thomson Road and was opened on 24 March 1990. Later on, this stretch was extended on 24 March 1990 to connect SLE and CTE. Later, it was extended from Upper Thomson Road to the BKE. The 2015 Singapore Cup was the 18th season of Singapore's annual premier club football tournament organised by Football Association of Singapore. Due to sponsorship reasons, the Singapore Cup is also known as the RHB Singapore Cup. Balestier Khalsa were the defending champions, having won their first trophy the previous year. Geylang International Football Club is a professional football club based in Bedok, Singapore, which plays in the Singapore Premier League, the top division of football in Singapore. Hougang United
Hougang United Football Club is a Singaporean professional football club that competes in the Singapore Premier League. History Hougang United Football Club was founded as Marine Castle United Football Club, which was formed by Newcastle United fans in the Marine Parade area. Upon successful entry into the S.League in 1998, the club struggled in its early foray in the first few years, finishing in the bottom two for the next four seasons. Marine Castle changed its name to Sengkang Marine Football Club in 2002 and finished in 8th position consecutively, its highest ever finish in its short history.
