Azerbaijan In The Eurovision Song Contest 2015
Azerbaijan was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Hour of the Wolf" written by Sandra Bjurman, Nicolas Rebscher, Nicklas Lif and Lina Hansson. The song was performed by Elnur Hüseynov, who was internally selected by the Azerbaijani broadcaster İctimai Television (İTV) in March 2015 to represent the nation at the 2015 contest in Vienna, Austria. Hüseynov had previously represented Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 together with Samir Javadzadeh where they placed eighth with the song "Day After Day". The song "Hour of the Wolf" was presented to the public on 15 March. Azerbaijan was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 21 May 2015. Elnur Hüseynov
Elnur Hüseynov (born 3 March 1987), also known as Elnur Hussein, is an Azerbaijani singer. He was the first Azerbaijan's representative to perform " Day After Day" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 alongside Samir Javadzadeh as duo Elnur and Samir. In 2015, he won the fourth season of '' The Voice of Turkey'' and represented Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song " Hour of the Wolf". Career Elnur Hüseynov was born in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, to ethnic Azeri parents. His father was a military serviceman and his mother specializes in music theory. Dilara Kazimova ( ; born 20 May 1984) is an Azerbaijani people, Azerbaijani singer and actress. She represented Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen with the song "Start a Fire (Dilara Kazimova song), Start a Fire". Melkweg
Melkweg (Dutch for "Milky Way") is a music venue and cultural center on Lijnbaansgracht, near Leidseplein in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is housed in a former dairy and includes four music halls as well as a cinema, a restaurant and an exhibition space. It is operated by a nonprofit organisation founded in 1970. History The building originally housed a sugar refinery built in the 19th century. In 1920, OVVV bought the factory and used it as a milk factory until it closed in 1969. Palladium Riga is a concert venue and former cinema in Riga, Latvia. It is located at 21 Marijas iela, Riga, and was opened as a music venue on September 28, 2011. Its capacity is 1600 to 2000. The venue was opened in the place of former cinema "Palladium", which was opened back in 1913, and was open until 2002. History Cinema "Palladium" was established in 1913, in a former dwelling house. It was the largest cinema in Riga. The cinema had a futuristic design, a cafe, a balcony, and an unusually large hall for cinemas of that time. OGAE
The (; ), shortened to OGAE, is a non-governmental and non-profit international organisation, consisting of 42 Eurovision Song Contest fan clubs from across Europe and worldwide. It was founded in 1984 in Savonlinna, Finland by Jaripekka Koikkalainen. Four non-profit competitions are organised by the OGAE every year to promote national popular music to Eurovision fans around the world.
