Azer Mammadov
Azer Mammadov ( az, Azər Məmmədov; born 7 February 1976 in Kirovabad) is an Azerbaijani footballer ( defender) who retired in 2013, his last club was FC Kapaz. 1993 Azerbaijan Top League
The 1993 Azerbaijan Premier League, Azerbaijan Top League was the second season of the Azerbaijan Top League and was contested by 20 clubs with 2 points awarded for a win, 1 for a draw and no points were awarded for a defeat. PFC Neftchi Baku, Neftchi Baku were unable to defend their championship, with Qarabağ FK, Karabakh Agdam becoming the champions. The 20 participating teams where divided into two groups of 10, and faced each other twice. The top two clubs at the end of the 18 games qualified for the championship play-off matches, whilst the bottom three clubs were relegated. However Shahdag Qusar FK, Nefteqaz were spared relegation after FK Daşqın Zaqatala, Daşqın Zaqatala were relegated due to their financial problems. 2001–02 Azerbaijan Top League
The 2001-02 Azerbaijan Premier League, Azerbaijan Top League was contested by twelve clubs. In the 2nd round of the Championship, the championship was suspended due to the conflict between the clubs and the AFFA and clubs were not allowed to the European club tournaments. The clubs, which had stopped racing, continued their championship with the initiative of the Organizing Committee. But that part of the history, like the "alternative championship," remained unofficially. Because AFFA, UEFA and FIFA did not recognize these results. Shamkir Football Club ( az, Şəmkir Futbol Klubu), is an Azerbaijani football club based in Şəmkir, that currently plays in the Azerbaijan First Division. The club is one of the most oldest and most successful clubs in Azerbaijan's football history with two Azerbaijan Premier League titles. History The club was established in 1954, even though it never participated at any Soviet football league. It was re-established in 1993. Shamkir's most successful years were at the start of the 2000s, after Shahbaz Suleymanov's takeover, club with Agaselim Mirjavadov consecutively won three Azerbaijan Premier League titles and reached the final of Azerbaijan Cup three times.
