Azeez Sait
Azeez Sait (15 March 1926 – 28 December 2001) was an Indian politician who served as the Minister of State for Transport, Tourism, Labour Wakf Department and Industries and Commerce of Karnataka from 1972 to 1984. A prominent minority leader of the Congress Party, he represented the Narasimharaja constituency in the legislative assembly a record six times between 1967 and his death in 2001. Career Azeez Sait belonged to a family of clothiers whose patrons included the Mysore royal family. His father Abdul Sattar Sait had a department store in the Lakshmi complex, opposite the clock tower. Azeez Sait worked in this shop for 17 years before venturing into public life. In 1952, Azeez Sait managed the campaign of advocate Mohammad Shariff in Mandi Mohalla. He was also an active labour leader. Mysore ( ), officially Mysuru (), is a city in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. It is the headquarters of Mysore district and Mysore division.
