Azat Peruaşev
Azat Turlybekuly Peruaşev (; born 8 September 1967) is a Kazakh politician who is serving as the member of the Mazhilis from 2012. He is currently the chairman of the Aq Jol party since 2011. From 1998 to 2006, Peruaşev was the First Secretary of the Civic Party before its merger with Otan in 2006. Biography Early life and education Peruaşev was born to a Muslim family in the village of Rgaity, Korday District. From 1986 to 1988, he served in the Soviet Army. In 1991, Peruaşev graduated from the Ural State University, specializing in political science. In 1996, he completed the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a degree in Public Administration Manager. In 2000, Peruaşev graduated from the Jetisu Economic Institute with a degree in economics-manager. The Order of Friendship (, ''Dostyq ordenı'') is a state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan, introduced in 1995. It is awarded to individuals for the promotion of international and civil consensus in society and the promotion of peace, friendship and cooperation between peoples. The ribbon is red with two narrow yellow central stripes and a green edge and a blue edge. The award has two classes. The Communist Party of Kazakhstan (QKP; , ) was the ruling and sole legal political party in the Kazakh SSR. Origin The Communist Party of Kazakhstan was founded 1936, when Kazakhstan was granted a Union Republic status within the Soviet Union. The Soviet Ground Forces () was the land warfare service branch of the Soviet Armed Forces from 1946 to 1992. It was preceded by the Red Army. Aq Jol Democratic Party
The Aq Jol (, ), officially the "Aq Jol" Democratic Party of Kazakhstan (, ) is a liberal-conservative political party in Kazakhstan. The Aq Jol is led by Azat Peruaşev, a deputy of the Mäjilis. The Aq Jol party was formed in early 2002, after its faction became being split from the Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan. From there, it was positioned as an opposition party though in a moderate tone. The party has experienced fragmentation over the years, leading to the formation of dissident factions. Despite its opposition stance, the Aq Jol had been repeatedly described as a pro-government party in Kazakhstan, with it joining the People's Coalition in support of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the 2022 Kazakh presidential election, 2022 election.
