Ayushmaan
''Ayushmaan'' is a Hindi language Indian television serial on Sony Entertainment Television from 2 August 2004 to 19 May 2005. It is the story of a child medical genius. Plot summary The popular soap was the story of a teenager whose carefree adolescence is pitted against the responsibilities that his medical profession demands from him. It later leads to heart-rending conflicts. It is based on a true child prodigy who became a qualified doctor at the age of 17. Trying to blend in, Ayushmaan pretends to be a poor student in school barely scraping through in his examinations. He spends his time playing basketball with his two close friends, Sonia (a carefree tomboy girl) and Rohit (a free-spirited boy from a rich family). His medical knowledge is revealed when he helps deliver a child in an emergency. Vinod Kumar Singh is an Indian television actor and model. He played the title role in the show ''Ayushmaan''. Personal life Vinod Singh was born to Malati Devi and Shrinath Singh. He was born in Visakhapatnam, but was brought up in Mumbai. He and his twin sister are the youngest of 5 siblings. He did his schooling from Saint Francis D'Assisi High School, Borivali West.
