Aya Matsuoka
Shishamo (stylised as SHISHAMO) is a Japanese band. Formed in 2010 while at high school in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, the band began releasing music in 2012. Biography The band formed in early 2010, after the original three members attended the light music club during their first year of high school at Kawasaki City High School for Science and Technology. Asako Miyazaki and Aya Matsumoto had been childhood friends, but Misaki Yoshikawa met the others for the first time at high school. The band named themselves after shishamo, a type of small fish commonly eaten in Japan, however they originally spelled their name in kanji, . In 2011 they started writing original music. In May, the band competed at the Teens Rock in Hitachinaka music contest, where they won the grand prize and the best vocalist award. Summer Sonic Festival
is an annual music festival held on one weekend in August simultaneously in both Chiba and Osaka, Japan. The festival features revolving lineups performing one day in Osaka then performing the next day in Chiba and vice-versa. The lineup often features major international acts in addition to Japanese artists from major and independent record companies. The festival was first held in 2000 at Fuji-Q Highland resort in Yamanashi Prefecture. The festival moved to Chiba in 2001, just east of Tokyo, and has occurred in both Chiba and Osaka simultaneously since 2002. Since 2011 the festival has been preceded by the all-night event Sonicmania, a separately ticketed event held in only Chiba featuring an EDM-centric lineup. The 2009 and 2011 editions of the festival were held over three days while all other editions of the festival have been two days. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. A Digital Albums Chart based on download sales was established on November 19, 2016. On December 24, 2018, Oricon introduced a Combined Albums Chart based on album-equivalent units. It counts physical sales, digital sales and streaming.
