Axioma (/ˌæksiˈoʊmə/; pronounced AK-see-oh-mə) from the root word ''Axiom'is an American dark metal band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 2015. The band is known for combining Death Metal, post-black metal, sludge, doom, and ambient music. They have released multiple critically hailed Extended play, EPs and full-length albums, garnering attention in underground metal circles for their apocalyptic soundscapes and visceral performances. History The band dates back to 2015 when guitarists Cyril Blandino and J. Meyers from Forged in Flame, former Keelhaul and Ringworm bassist/vocalist Aaron Dallison, and drummer Jon Vinson came together in Cleveland, Ohio. Keelhaul (band)
Keelhaul is a four-piece progressive mathcore/sludge metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. The members are Aaron Dallison (bass, vocals), Dana Embrose (guitar), Will Scharf (drums), and Chris Smith (guitar, vocals). The band formed in 1998. They toured Europe in April 2004 and subsequently went on a lengthy break. With no tours or new music recorded, Keelhaul entered the studio in December 2008 with producer Andrew Schneider to record their new album, ''Keelhaul's Triumphant Return to Obscurity''. In the same month, the band resumed live activity with two shows, one in Philadelphia and the other in New York. In 2009, they played support to Isis for the Wavering Radiant tour (which took in dates across Europe), filling the bill with Finnish band Circle. Integrity (band)
Integrity is a hardcore punk band formed Cleveland, Ohio in 1988, but based in Belgium since 2003. A pioneer of the metalcore genre, the band's merger of influences from hardcore punk and heavy metal music, as well as gothic rock, industrial, noise, doomsday cults and western esotericism, was widely influential on the subsequent development of hardcore and metal. The band was a defining part of the 1990s hardcore scene, influencing similarly influential bands such as Converge, Hatebreed and Killswitch Engage. Yakuza is an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1999. They have been acclaimed for their incorporation of jazz and world music elements. History Yakuza was formed in 1999. The band debuted with its independently released album ''Amount to Nothing'' in 2000. The album was met with acclaim from ''Terrorizer'' and the ''Chicago Sun Times''. Yakuza followed its release with a tour alongside Candiria and Burnt by the Sun, eventually leading to a slot on the Vans Warped Tour. Dave Witte (born August 11, 1971) is an American drummer. He is known for his work in numerous extreme metal or hardcore punk bands including Municipal Waste, Melt-Banana, Discordance Axis, Black Army Jacket, Birds of Prey, Burnt by the Sun, and Deny the Cross among others. He has also played as a session drummer for many other acts. Early life Witte is a New Jersey native. He relocated to Richmond, Virginia to join Municipal Waste. Jazz fusion (also known as jazz rock, jazz-rock fusion, or simply fusion) is a popular music genre that developed in the late 1960s when musicians combined jazz harmony and improvisation with rock music, funk, and rhythm and blues.
